Two More Condo Act Forms to Be Delegated to the CAO
We have previously blogged about the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services’ decision to delegate 17 forms under the Condominium Act to the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO). The Ministry has recently confirmed the (previously announced) transfer of two more condominium forms to the CAO.
Effective September 1, 2020, the CAO will be responsible for administering the:
- Notice of Future Funding of the Reserve Fund; and the
- Summary of Lease or Renewal
The above forms will be available on the CAO’s website from September 1st (the forms that were previously delegated are already available on the website). The Ministry’s decision to delegate condominium forms to the CAO is expected to result in greater access and usability for condominium owners and residents, while also transferring the associated administrative costs from the Government to the CAO (which is funded by Ontario’s condominium community) .
