Bill 106 Passes Third Reading

Bill 106 – Protecting Condominium Owners Act passed its third and final reading in the Ontario legislature yesterday, by a vote of 89-0. This bill will make crucial changes to the administration and operation of condominiums across Ontario, affecting both condo corporations and owners.

The Government Relations Committee will draft a report in the coming days. At this stage it appears that not all of the amendments suggested by the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) and the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) have been accepted.
